At The Bishop’s Academy at Most Holy Rosary students enjoy many sport activities. Athletics are a very important part of our curriculum.

Parochial League

The Bishop’s Academy at Most Holy Rosary participates in the Parochial Grammar School Basketball League. All students in Grades 4-6 are welcome to participate, however, participation in the athletic program is a privilege for students who are in good academic standing and are cooperative with the teachers, staff, and parent volunteers at the Bishop’s Academy at Most Holy Rosary. Students who wear a MHR uniform must remember they are representing our school.  Students who are not “good ambassadors” for the academy, or are having difficulty in the areas of academics or discipline may lose the privilege of participating in the athletic program. The program runs from November through February. Games are most often on Sunday afternoons. The league is strictly an instructional program; the purpose is to teach basic skills and to promote good sportsmanship. We have a concession stand and the funds raised go toward the support of the basketball program.

Primary League

The Primary League is held each Wednesday from 2:30p.m. – 3:30p.m. and is open to grades pre-k through 3. Players work on skill building including dribbling, passing, shooting, defensive moves, and understanding basic positions on the court. They will also play games on Sunday afternoons.
