MHR Faculty and Staff

In the principal’s office, Mrs. Carroll continues to create opportunities to enhance learning at MHR. She continues to work with Syracuse University and BOCES to build relationships that benefit our school. The recent IBM technology grant awarded to the school has already started to arrive and the anticipated addition of a Special Education Teacher to her staff will continue our progress forward.

Mrs. Melanie Carroll has a B.A. in Education from Syracuse University, a M.Ed in Education from Boston College, and a SDA in Educational Leadership from Syracuse University. As a leader of teachers her goal is to serve as a mentor. She adheres to the philosophy that principals are master teachers that teach and model best practices in education. “Reading is the fundamental gateway of all learning. Through the growth and development of a literacy program, we strive for reading proficiency at all grade levels. We want all students to love reading as much as we do.”
